Lite Tek was founded by Darren Lewis, who brings over 25 years of experience in concert production to the company. What started as a small operation in a garage quickly grew into a respected regional and national force in the concert and event lighting industry. Darren is a true multi-tasker, taking on roles ranging from designer and programmer to manager and logistics coordinator. While running the business, coordinating teams, and ensuring the smooth operation of gear and trucks across the country are demanding tasks, designing and programming remain his true passions.
powerdave: Head Programmer & Systems Technician
Dave is a lighting designer with a passion for programming and a background in Extreme and Underground Music, from Death Metal to Hip Hop. He has built a successful career in lighting design, with extensive touring and operating experience. His expertise spans stage productions, live music venues (including concert halls and nightclubs), and architectural installations. A master of Grand Ma3 and Onyx, Dave excels at crafting dramatic moments through light, translating music and emotion into a visual spectacle. He has a strong understanding of color theory, theatrical techniques, and the latest lighting technologies. He is a collaborative and results-oriented professional with a proven ability to meet deadlines and exceed client expectations.
Nick Drake: Warehouse Manager & Systems Technician
Nick joined Lite Tek Entertainment in 2017 and was promoted to Warehouse Manager in 2024, a testament to his success in building a strong team. He is dedicated to mastering the latest technologies, including GrandMA3, Resolume, and Beyond, ensuring expertise across all visual aspects of live production. Nick's expertise extends beyond software to the practical application of building, managing, and operating diverse lighting systems for events ranging from festivals to tours with artists like Jenny Lewis and GWAR.
sean mclane - Richmond Branch Manager & CDL CEO
Sean McLane joined our team in 2011 and currently oversees operations in our warehouse. In addition to his operational expertise, he is also a skilled designer and programmer, bringing a unique blend of creativity and technical talent to the table.
Sean continued the legacy of Steve Childers CDL Cases, specializing in custom packaging solutions tailored to meet a wide range of transportation needs. Lovingly referred to in the shop as “The Oracle”, Sean is the true engine behind each production Lite Tek is a part of.
Ethan Weiser: Systems Technician & Touring LD
Ethan began his career in 2016, receiving his BFA in Lighting Design from Virginia Commonwealth University. There he learned the basics of theatrical lighting design while also gaining hands-on show experience through Lite Tek Entertainment and ELF. A skilled systems technician and touring designer, Ethan has a keen eye for detail with a deep understanding of how light can evoke emotion, shape ambiance, and enhance any environment.
